The Call to Adventure
The next step the hero goes through is the call to adventure. Usually, the herald is the one to arrive and present the challenge or quest to the hero, but it can also arrive in other forms. A message, a storm, a villain, a death, etc. can also carry out the call to adventure. The call to adventure throws off the ordinary world and once the challenge is met, the only escape is to the special world.
The call to adventure can be considered to be all of the letters delivered by the owls and also Hagrid coming to talk to Harry after the Dursley family(relatives Harry lives with)are forced to isolate themselves to stop the delivery of the letters. Once they get to the isolated house, Hagrid arrives to pay a visit to Harry on his 11th birthday. Hagrid then tells Harry that he is a wizard and finally gives him the letter of acceptance to the school of wizardy, HogwartsHagrid is also able to tell him the truth about his parents.
