Return with the Elixir

The last stage of the hero's journey is the return with the elixir. The hero earns the final reward of the journey. He has now gained the acceptance to go back to the ordinary world. Closure and balance can now be brought back to the end of the journey. The story has now been resolved and the hero can continue on with their life.

Harry Potter has now returned home after his long and eventful journey at Hogwarts. The reward he has gained is intangible. He has learned where he rightfully belongs, learned more about his parents, and gained many friends, especially Ron and Hermione, and some positive relationships with teachers. Harry is able to return home as a more confident, brave, and socially belonging person.
