Test, Allies, and Enemies
After crossing the threshold, the next step in the journey is where the hero meets and faces the tests, allies, and enemies. The hero goes through tests, meet/make allies, face enemies, and learn more about the special world. He finds out who can and can't be trusted. Sidekicks, teams,and rivals are also found out. This stage allows the hero to prepare for more challenges and ordeals he has to face later on.
Harry meets many allies, enemies, and faces several tests. He meets Ron and Hermione on the train to Hogwarts. Not only do they become Harry's biggest allies, but all three of them become the best of friends. One of the many tests that especially brought the three of them closer together was the troll. Harry and mostly Ron managed to save Hermione from the troll that started to attack her in the girls' bathroom. One person that Harry realizes he won't get along with and is the bane of Harry Potter is Draco Malfoy. Malfoy creates problems for Harry and his friends thoughout the year at Hogwarts.
