Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

The Ordinary World
The ordinary world is the first step going through the hero's journey. This is when you are able to learn about, get to know, and discover new things about the hero. You get to learn and know their normal routine and unique characteristics. All the while, you find out the hero's drives, urges, and problems.
Harry Potter starts out in the ordinary world, the natural human world where he is living with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and cousin Dudley. To Harry, living in his aunt and uncle's home is unhappy and unfair. You learn that Harry is always put second to Dudley and acts as a servant to his relatives. His aunt and uncle makes him do most of the chores, recieve secondhand items, live in a closet under the stairs, and threatens him if anything bad or a wrong doing happens. They didn't even tell Harry the truth about his parents and their death.
