Meeting the Mentor

After the refusal of the call comes the meeting of the mentor. The hero finally gets to meet his mentor. Once the mentor meets the hero, he is then able to give the hero advice from his experiences and wisdom. The mentor helps the hero gain confidence, insight, advice, training, and or magical gifts toovercome fears and to help on their long journey ahead.

Harry meets Dumbledore several times but with very little and limited conversation. Many times throughout the movie, Dumbledore is able to give tid bits of advice. The most important and perhaps main moment of when Harry meets Dumbledore is the night he found the Mirror of Erised. He gave Harry a very important piece of information and advice about the mirror that greatly helps Harry later on in the movie.
